Ordering InformationTOP SCHOLAR AWARDPresented to the graduate senior (and graduate student, where applicable) in each chapter with the highest GPA. Each chapter is entitled annually to one free framed certificate for the top senior and one for top graduate student. Additional awards are $35 each. Top Scholar also receives a KTA medallion. To order, send the Top Scholar's name and the date of presentation to the national office. Allow at least ten working days for processing and shipping.OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARDPresented by local chapters to persons of outstanding accomplishment, usually faculty or journalism/mass communication professionals. Recipient receives special certificate and KTA medallion. To order, provide name of recipient, date of presentation and wording for certificate (10-15 words completing sentence, "Serving the Society..."; e.g., "through excellence in journalism and leadership of the San Antonio Express-News"). $10 charge.KTA MEDALLIONSDesigned to be worn at ceremonies in which the recognition of scholarship is the central focus (for example, honor awards programs, KTA initiations/banquets and any occasion at which academic regalia is worn). A small representation of the medallion is found at the bottom left of this page. The medallions are 2" in diameter and come with 30" neck ribbons. To order, merely indicate on the Report of Initiates form (preferably the on-line version) how many medallions you want, or otherwise notify headquarters. Medallions do not replace, nor substitute for, membership keypins. Medallions cost $8, plus shipping ($2 if shipped individually, $5 for 5-10 medals, $10 for more than 10--no charge if shipped with member certificates).HONOR CORDSCustom color honor cords must be ordered directly from KTA national headquarters. The Report of Initiates form has a place to indicate how many cords you need, or simply contact national headquarters. The cost of the cords is $6. There is $2 charge for shipping cords, unless shipped with the chapter's Report of Initiates order.KEYPINSInitiates receive a keypin as part of their initiation fee. Replacement or additional keypins must be ordered through KTA headquarters for $10 each (plus shipping). 10K gold keypins and charms (in either 10K gold or in Gold Kase) are available through our authorized supplier.
